WINTER CAMP IN BEIJING
Experience the magic of winter in China with our immersive Winter Camp in Beijing.
Our camp is designed for kids and teens aged 7–17.
This unique program combines intensive Chinese language classes with cultural adventures in one of China’s most historic cities.
Whether your child is a complete beginner or already learning Mandarin, our Winter Camp offers a fun, safe, and educational environment to accelerate their skills and make lifelong memories.
WINTER CAMP IN BEIJING
At the LTL Beijing Winter Camp, young learners enjoy a safe, immersive environment where they can improve their Mandarin skills and discover the rich history and traditions of China.
Beijing is one of the safest cities in Asia and provides an excellent setting for your kids to get to know Chinese culture and learn the language.

Our Winter Camp in Beijing runs for six weeks during December and January every weekday.
You can sign your kids up for anything from one week to the full six-week package. Starting dates can be found below.

WINTER CAMP SCHEDULE
There is so much to discover in Beijing during the wintertime. However, before heading out kids will enjoy four hours of Mandarin class in small groups. After each hour of study, kids take a short break.
After a morning of Chinese classes, it’s time to go for lunch together. Lunch is included in the final price. We mix up the menu every day so kids can enjoy the joys of China’s varied cuisine.
We then embark on various trips to local museums, parks and markets where we can all practice using the language together. Near Beijing are some incredible skiing facilities used in the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics we can also enjoy together.
Every Saturday, we round off the week with an exciting day trip which lasts from 9am to 6pm.
ACCOMMODATION
You have two accommodation options, our homestay camp or the residence camp.
In our homestay camp, your child will stay with a local host family, immersing themselves in Chinese culture.
The LTL residence camp provides a shared living arrangement where students stay together in shared rooms. A program coordinator resides with the participants.

All costs are shown in the price table below. Do note, we also offer a day camp and a half-day camp for parents who wish to house their kids themselves.
NOTE || Kids prices are for 7-10 year olds and teen prices are for 11-17 year olds.

FAQs FOR PARENTS
How long are your Winter Camp lessons?
Each lesson lasts 55 minutes. Your child will have four of them every day.
What is the difference between kids and teens programs?
Kids are classed as 7-10 year olds and teens as 11-17 year olds.
Typically, we will try to match kids not just by level, but by age too.
Can families participate in the Beijing Winter Camp too?
Yes, we’d love for you to join them.
You can either take a Mandarin language course and share accommodation with your child, or just take a break and explore.
Is lunch included in the camp?
Yes, lunch is included for all students. After the morning classes, we accompany the children to food.
I have more than one child, can they study together?
Of course. We offer a 5% discount for any summer camp participants who sign up together.
If their levels are different, we will likely need to place them in different classes.
Is Beijing a safe place for kids?
Cities don’t get much safer. Beijing is incredibly safe, and crime is very rare.
What if my child gets sick?
There are very good international medical facilities available in Beijing.
We will accompany your child to the hospital in case of an emergency at any time of the day/night. Please make sure your child is insured.
Would you recommend a homestay for a child?
Homestays are a great place for kids to get a deeper understanding of Chinese culture.
Our homestay families are very carefully selected, and they are here to help your child improve their Mandarin and introduce them to the culture.
They look after their host children and give your child the freedom to explore from a safe home base.
Do you also offer a Summer Camp?
We do.

How long can I sign up for?
Anything between a week and the full six weeks.
Kids cannot sign up for 2-3 days.
